Financial Service Providers Reduce Costs With Personal Printing

SKOK Wesoła is a leading Polish cooperative bank with 70 branches in 12 provinces. To reduce the cost of printing, the company sought a cost-effective, rapidly implementable pull-printing solution. What was important was that existing printers should continue to be used, and the solution easy to integrate.

The Solution:

SKOK Wesoła headquarters uses Personal Printing, which only prints documents once the user has authenticated with his smartphone directly at the printer.

The Result:

Maintenance, paper and toner costs were significantly lowered, without new printers having to be purchased. Existing smartphones are used to authenticate directly at printers. Employees scan the QR code attached to the printer with their smartphone to start printing their document. An additional advantage is that unauthorized access to sensitive documents is prevented when printing.

“Personal Printing was a very simple way to significantly reduce our printing costs in terms of maintenance and investment. Unlike with other pull-printing solutions we were able to use our existing printers. User authentication with existing mobile devices is a simple and cheap method. And printing sensitive information is no longer a problem, as the document automatically ends up in the right hands. Using smartphone as an authentication tool is extremely easy.”
