Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Simplifies Citrix Printing

Diagnostic Center

DCPAH uses physical desktops and thin clients in a Citrix XenApp environment. DCPAH has 150 employees, all with remote access and using 75 printers. ThinPrint has been deployed for five years and is used by every employee.

Since ThinPrint was installed, DCPAH has decreased the need for printer drivers by more than 80%. Overhead costs for printer maintenance have also decreased due to Active Directory integration.

ThinPrint has significantly reduced time spent on Citrix printing issues and DCPAH is now able to allocate that time to other projects. Greg Snider, Network Administrator at DCPAH, most often uses ThinPrint’s central printer driver management, saving “a lot of time vs. having to install printer drivers locally.” With the centralized, dynamic set up and management coupled with the elimination of driver conflicts, admins are able to spend less time on Citrix printing and printer driver administration.

ThinPrint is the fastest and most secure printing solution available, enabling you to significantly increase the efficiency and flexibility for Citrix environments. DCPAH saves $2000-3000 in direct printing costs, and estimates 200 hours for a full time employee each year by deploying ThinPrint. “I am very satisfied with my investment in ThinPrint and have recommended ThinPrint to others.”

“Centralized management of Citrix session printers with ThinPrint makes supporting Citrix products much easier.”

Greg Snider, Network Administrator
