.print AutoConnect
.print AutoConnect ensures that the right printer is always available. You can connected a server or desktop on which the .print Engine is installed. AutoConnect will set up your local printers during the session, allowing you to conveniently use all your local printers. Even if printers or workstations change regularly, you always have access to the current printers in the session.
AutoConnect is a service that becomes active by default as soon as someone logs in or out. When logging in from a remote computer, AutoConnect queries the printer list and properties of client printers and makes them available to the user of the session. When the session is ended, the printers created by AutoConnect on the remote computer are deleted. However, it is also possible to map network printers without .print Clients into the session.
If AutoConnect is used together with the virtual driver ThinPrint Output Gateway, printer properties such as paper trays, duplex, color/black-white or resolution are also loaded from the original printer driver to the server or desktop.

AutoConnect requires a .print Engine on a remote computer and a .print Client on the client side (or a local print server, called a .print Client Gateway). AutoConnect is a part of each .print Engine and is conveniently configured in the MMC. The Dynamic Printer Matrix is particularly convenient (table for name translation). AutoConnect can be started automatically, via script or the command line, whereby parameters can also be used.
AutoConnect uses templates to automatically create session printers. These templates can be configured just like normal printers (select driver and print properties).
