| This technology allows you to variably distribute the Windows print process in the network. A virtual printer driver, the ThinPrint Output Gateway, initially transmits the print data in a printer-independent format. This enables you to use the original printer driver only where it makes sense and is easy to manage. Depending on the application scenario this can be the client computer or a central print server. |

Standard properties of the original printer drivers are read automatically. Any special functions of the printer can be easily operated using a preview on the Client. |

The V-Layer (ThinPrint Printer Virtualization Layer) supports this approach and also allows you to use DRIVER FREE PRINTING technology on central print servers. In this way you can store all original printer drivers centrally on your print server, while the virtual printer driver (ThinPrint Output Gateway) is used everywhere else. The sharing is done using the ThinPrint Output Gateway, which is coupled with the original printer drivers. |

| ThinPrint allows you to access network printers in branch offices even when no dedicated line or VPN connection is available. The .print Connected Gateway can be used to establish a tunnel between the main office and a branch office, allowing you to print to network printers in the branch office just as you would to printers in the LAN. You therefore do not need to invest in an expensive dedicated line in branch offices. |
