.print Engine AS/400 | System i

Boxshot ThinPrint .print Engine AS/400 | System i Are you using IBM AS/400 or System i systems in your IT infrastructure?
These systems frequently form a strategic platform for the generation and distribution of print data. ThinPrint allows you to optimally use the available bandwidth for printing purposes and hence guarantees high system reliability and performance.

How does the .print Engine AS/400 | System i work?

It all works remarkably simply: The THINP400 printer driver sends spool files from AS/400 or i System in a highly compressed (up to 85%) form and without any loss of data to the ThinPrint .print clients. You have the option here to define the output configuration as a part of the printer description. As soon as print data for an output target is available, the THINP400 establishes an IP connection to the ThinPrint client and transmits the print data in accordance with your specifications. The print data are decompressed on the ThinPrint .print client and subsequently transferred to the addressed printer. ThinPrint .print clients are available for almost all types of PCs, terminals (thin clients) as well as internal and external print servers. This enables the fast, simple and reliable creation of print outputs regardless of the connection used, the location of the staff and the client computer.
